Waitlist edition · last updated June 2026
This notice explains what personal data we collect when you join the waitlist for The Shareholders Board, why we collect it, and the rights you have under UK data protection law (UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).
Who we are
The service on this site is operated by The Shareholders Board Limited, a company registered in England and Wales, whose registered office is at 2 Kensington Place, London, N10 3BY ("we", "us"). You can contact us at info@theshareholdersboard.co.uk. The Shareholders Board Limited is the data controller for the personal data described in this notice.
What we collect
- Your email address.
- A record that you gave consent, with the date and time.
- Limited technical data your browser sends when submitting the form (e.g. IP address), processed by our email provider to operate the service and prevent abuse.
Why we collect it, and our lawful basis
We use your email solely to send you occasional updates about The Shareholders Board, most importantly to tell you when it launches. Our lawful basis is your consent, which you give by ticking the consent box on the signup form. Every email we send includes a one-click unsubscribe link.
Where your data lives
Your details are stored by our email service provider on servers in the European Union / European Economic Area. We do not sell or share your data with third parties for their own marketing.
How long we keep it
We keep your email until the earliest of: the date you unsubscribe, the date you ask us to delete it, or 24 months after you joined the waitlist if the service has not launched and you have not engaged. After that we delete it.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- withdraw consent at any time: every email has a one-click unsubscribe link;
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- ask us to correct or delete it;
- object to or restrict our processing of it;
- ask for a copy in a portable format.
